Snapy

Shop stories

Four local shops, in their own words: Cheapskates, North Shore Sports Swap, Coast Consignment and On Top Bike Shop.

Cheapskates Sporting Goods

Vancouver · consignment sporting goods

From zero online sales to their best August in six years. Now the whole team snaps every item before it goes out on the floor.

August 2026 vs August 2025, from Cheapskates’ own till data. On Snapy since mid-July 2026.

Our entire inventory shows up on Facebook Marketplace and Google — it’s amazing. People are finding us who have driven past this store a million times and never come in. And I start the day processing sales that came in overnight; the store is selling while I sleep. I don’t see us ever not using Snapy.

Patrick, owner

North Shore Sports Swap

North Vancouver · used sports gear

From a couple of items a day, uploaded by hand, to ten times that on every platform.

From a five-week test in the shop: half the aged stock (gear that had sat for over a month) went up on Snapy, half stayed on the floor. Gear at $200 and up sold in a median of 7 days.

We were manually uploading a couple items a day to SidelineSwap and Instagram. Now that Snapy is an integral part of our business we’re uploading 10× that to all the platforms. Sales grew 10% within the first three weeks — and it’s only getting better.

Is Snapy easy to use?

“We snap a couple photos before we put items on the shelf, and that’s it. No typing in details — just a couple of quick photos on the way out to the floor.”
